The bandwidth meter measures the connection speed between your computer and the Internet. Determined by taking various samples of upload and download data streams, the results are then statistically analysed to calculate the available bandwidth for that session. These findings show how fast you can transfer data at the time the test was run. |
Bandwidth is always fluctuating; however, some of the factors that temporarily impact speed can be minimised during this test. Sometimes, it could be the software that you are running on your computer, or maybe you were performing other downloads during the bandwidth test. Other times, it could be that there is shared Internet activity over the same network. Therefore, to ensure accuracy do not run any networking applications like streaming video or audio, or download any large files while running the test.
